ABOUT

The FAB 845 represents a transformative initiative poised to revolutionize our community’s approach to technology, education, and economic development. Rooted in the pioneering spirit of MIT’s Fab Lab network and guided by principles of accessibility and experimentation, our lab will serve as a beacon of opportunity for Dutchess County and beyond.

Designed as a collaborative, community-driven space, the Fab Lab will empower youth and adults alike to gain skills, confidence, and creative problem-solving capabilities. Specialized programs—ranging from after-school STEM camps and vocational training to professional development workshops—will address the unique needs of a diverse population, ensuring access to cutting-edge tools on a sliding scale. In doing so, the initiative will drive local entrepreneurship, foster shared wealth creation, and bridge the digital divide.

Specialized programs for youth, such as STEM camps and after school sessions for underserved residents of Dutchess County could inspire the next generation of inventors and problem solvers, while professional development and corporate training workshops would help local businesses upskill their workforce and drive economic growth.
